So then why do the instructions for all four of my torque wrenches say not to use them to remove fasteners?

i checked mine and it didn't say anything about it.
but i did some searches and some say if one uses too much force while breaking frozen fasteners, it can affect calibration.

the seller answered my email. mystery solved.

"We are afraid that a torque wrench may put too much force on this item and may cause a damage, so there is such warning for it."

Agreed. I even seem to over tighten the filter with my hand half the time and have to use a bit of sandpaper in my palm to remove it the next OC. No OF wrenches for me.
