The real joke is that you think they're being robbed, but those higher taxes goes toward government funding on things like health care which we don't really have over here. Plus higher prices means they drive smaller cars on average than over here.
Yeah, we pay more for oil, but a visit to the doctor is free, a stay in hospital is free, the ambulance ride to the hospital is free, if I lose my job I get unemployment benefits until I find work again, child care costs are subsidized by the government... paying a few bucks more for an oil change doesn't seem so bad really. But I still find myself being envious of your low prices!
