Because I'm old, stubborn and ...old and stubborn. I grew up with 3K OCIs and I will die with 3K OCIs because I do NOT buy into any hype about better oil, better this, better that, blah blah blah. Engines are stupid, and for the price of 5Q of 5W30 (dino, no synthetics in my 130K, always Dino-lubricated engine) and a filter, be it P-Classic (wish I'ld known before I bought the two I just bought) or Napa Gold, is a cheap way to keep the engine innards as clean as possible.
You spent 25-75K for a vehicle and you're going to quibble about OCI? You're doin' it wrong.

Telecat - you still do a points tune up every year? Rebuild the carb every couple years?
