ARX on Mercedes 260E

Started ARX treatment on 1989 Mercedes 260E with 102,000 miles. The car burned a quart of oil every 700 miles before treatment started. Now about 700 miles into the cleaning phase the car has burned 2 quarts, probably from cleaning the valve seals. It starts much easier and runs well. I did notice that upon removing the oil filler cap fumes were being released which did not happen before. The oil on the dipstick still looks clean. If anyone is interested I'll keep you posted.

Sure we're interested! Two clean and rinse cycles (two treatments) with your mileage is indicated, btw.

Keep using dino through the whole thing, and if you can, make several long runs (300 miles or more) on the highway to get the engine up to temp and keep it there.

Don't worry about the oil consumption right now. You're probably correct about the valve seals. It may be that those should be replaced.
