Stick with Toyota 0W-20 in my 1NZ-XFE?

If any of this stuff was on a lunar lander or at the bottom of the sea I might understand the hesitation, but...

If the vehicle is spec'ed for a 0W-20 and the Dealership is going to change it out every 10K how can changing the oil with a 0W-20 (any 0W-20) somehow hurt it?

This is, of course, the very highly stressed 1800cc 98hp & 105 lbs/ft powerhouse...

Are we trying to pick the peanut out of the ...-.... here?

Does anyone really think which 0W-20 used is going to provide the pie-in-the-sky 51/48, or whatever? That the driver and the route and the weather and the traffic won't make a bigger difference?

Cheers!

p.s. The reason it is referred to as OCD is because it is a "Disorder".

You are SO wrong!

The 1500cc 1NZ-FXE engine produces 54 kW (73 hp) and the HSD motor is rated at 45 kW (60 hp). Total output is rated at 74 kW (99 hp).

You are correct about the OCD part though.
