Filter size equivalent

Not sure if anyone could help me here, but what would be the purolator part # equivalent to a Kohler oil filter (for lawnmowers)?

I can't tell from your post what the Kohler filter # is.

I just replaced the Kohler OEM 12-050-01 with a Napa Gold 1348, it's slightly longer (3&3/8" vs 2&1/2") but fits fine on my Kohler 19hp Courage engine on my ride on. I found that this is a more common application then the shorter application, less expensive.

The equivalent Fram is 3614 and Purolator PL/L10241, very common. The Kohler equivalent filter is 52 050 02-S, but has same gasket size as the 12-050-01.

The application #'s Bandito listed are as listed for the 12-050-01. The Napa # would be 1056.

In addition to Wix, Fram also has a very respectable cross reference section for oil filters.

I just changed the oil in mine last week. The stock Kohler filter was Kohler 5205002. I replaced it with a Purolator Classic L10241 for $3.27 at Walmart versus the $12 for a Kohler filter.

As 96Cherokee said, the price for the filter is ridiculous and probably doesn't even filter as good a purolator or wix.
