I don't know what year your Accord is but here is a 2007 Accord 6 cylinder resonator chamber
and a 2007 Accord 4 cylinder resonator chamber
And you thought I had a huge resonator.....
I now have "resonator envy"

My Scion tC has one on it. Very small but its there.
they can also add some power/torque by better tuning the intake resonance

I know mine has at least 2 appendages.
I have a 1996 Ford Contour 2.0L 4 cyl Zetec and it has a VERY large resonator after the MAF on the intake. This engine is noisy enough WITH the resonator. I'd hate to hear it without it.
