WD-40's main ingredients, according to U.S. Material Safety Data Sheet information, are:

50%: Stoddard solvent (i.e., mineral spirits -- primarily hexane, somewhat similar to kerosene)

25%: Liquefied petroleum gas (presumably as a propellant; carbon dioxide is now used instead to reduce WD-40's considerable flammability)

15+%: Mineral oil (light lubricating oil)

10-%: Inert ingredients

How would any of that improve your gasoline?

If you evaporate a bunch of WD-40 it leaves a gummy residue. Might not be a good thing to run through your engine.

Why are you keep reposting this over and over again? Some kind of double-U Dee 40 agenda?

schaeffers claims to have penetro in their oils. Kano makes an engine flush. I think the right chemistry could work well. There is nothing in WD40 to make it a true penetrating oil though.
