A few points, if I may, please.
I have learned that a large number of W-10 users have been unable to automatically download and update the latest security patches. Including me. Think "three or four months ago as the most recent update." M/S suggestions for a fix do not always work according to numerous users.
That aside, I realize several of you on this forum have forgotten more about hardware and software than I will ever know.
With that, I have found that if you download a separate A/V, Windows Defender will automatically turn itself off.
I have MBAM Premium, I like it, and it stays.
My reviews of MBAM Exploit reveals less than stellar results. It seems to be more of a beta product and readily conflicts with other protection software.
I am searching for a quality, consistent, upgradeable firewall and A/V to work with MBAM Premium in the W-10 environment.
If I use ESET32NOD, what firewall do I use?
