Warranty issues from lost oil receipts

I keep a folder in my file cabinet . All receipts for oil changes or repairs go in the folder . Takes less time than taking videos and entering info on spreadsheets , etc. It doesn't have to be so complicated .
Just having a receipt for 5 quarts of oil and an oil filter doesn't always meet every automakers requirements for documentation.

You need to document WHEN you changed the oil, and on that document, what supplies you used.

Here, have some fun with this thread:

When I changed the O&F on my GTI I saved the receipt and took pictures of the oil, the filter and the odometer. I suppose someone could fake all that but I think it would hold up in a dispute.

Well of course you would have some kind of documentation for date and mileage . That takes about as much time as dropping the receipts in the folder .
