Nope.

They started as Circuit City's house brand, then to Target, Wal Mart, Sears, and no Costco.

I'm drawn to this....more USA made electronics please.

First Cisco, now this...keep em coming!

Whose panels are they using? That's the important part, and I bet you that big piece of the TV is not from the US.

Surprised me as well.

I'm not sure how much, but some parts are from the US...I'm assuming we will get more details as they tell us..

Oh, never mind, He is from Minsk,Belarus.

This is pretty cool, BUT:

Like stated already, everything depends on the panel...
whether it's a Samsung, LG, Sharp, CMO etc etc....

When it comes to A/V equipment., i'll stick to buying the best quality stuff i can get for the amount of money i am prepared to pay, and I really don't care where they're made, as long as it's a high quality piece.

And if they're made in the US, that will be a big bonus. perfect scenario !
So far that has not happened (for me) in the audio/video area...

As much as I'd like to buy a USA Made TV, they don't really seem like a large, particularly reputable company yet. We'll probably keep buying Samsung TVs when needed.

Believe it or not, I know people with these Tvs...and for the price, they all are doing well....

Good luck finding made in USA TV. There are only about a handful of LCD panel makers and none of them are USA based. Regardless which brand you go with, you'll most likely to end up in one of the top 5 LCD makers:

LG
Samsung (used to have Sony as partner)
Sharp
CMO - Chi Mei Optoelectronics
AU Optronics

there are others, but much smaller. I'm sure Element buys the panel from somebody. Outsource.

I would bet that the LCD panel is foreign along with most/all of the electronics. Plastic housing may be sourced locally.

Maybe dave87rs can slip over to Canton and talk to some employees.

I'll meet you at the bridge, dave, and we'll go together.....
