I drove a Jeep before I purchased my Mercedes ML, it was a beautiful car.

The ecodiesel engine is the problem, and the documented engine failure rate is very high for a new engine, and these are not anecdotal reports.

However, the forum info is absolutely anecdotal evidence. Anonymous posts on the Internet without knowing the sample size are exactly that. If you've got real documentation of failures by percentage that we can compare to data on the two gasser engines, that would be worth something. Without that, we're just talking about feelings.
