2008 Ford Escape 210,842 miles. 3.0 V6. Roughly 4,100 miles on oil or so. I typically do about 3,200 on this one but I wrote down 5,000 on the sticker last time instead of 3,000. No harm though.

Out: 6 quarts Valvoline MaxLife High Mileage Synthetic Blend 5W-20
Off: Motorcraft FL-820S

In: 6 quarts Quaker State Full Synthetic 5W-20
On: Motorcraft FL-820S

I also degreased the bottom of the engine. I really need to do the pan gasket. Napa Mac’s Engine Degreaser really works well. And another observation I made is man Quaker State oil sure does smell different lol. It kind of smells like ginger sauce or something haha. Maybe I’m just crazy. It’s been a long while since I used Quaker State. I didn’t get the Valvoline because they removed the east pour spout and also because Walmart was out of it and only had very few 5W-20 selections.

2018 Ford Explorer with 50,000 at work

Out: guessing Pennzoil 5w20 and made in China PZ-173 filter

I’m: safety Kleen 5w30 full synthetic and ProTec filter. Unknown miles on last oil change. Oil was pitch black due to misfire caused by faulty MAP sensor. Will cut filter apart later

2018 VW Atlas w/3.6 VR 6. 50,250mi odo, 5,760mi OCI. No consumption. Mainly around town commuting with a few long highway trips.

Out:
6qt Liquimoly Leichtlauf High Tech 5W40 + LM Engine Flush, Mahle filter, Corteco drain plug

In:
5.7qt Liquimoly Leichtlauf High Tech 5W40 + Ceratec, Mahle filter, Corecto drain plug

Will return oil change kit for full refund from FCP Euro. Will bundle this with lots of other maintenance items for my other VWs and use pirateship for UPS return shipping, should be about $25-$30 for ~$300 worth of stuff/refunds.

I've done a few UOAs on this one but no real need to do them going forward - it will show fuel dilution and everything else "normal" - it's why I do ~5K OCIs on this one.

Friends VW sedan, forget middle. 2018 me thinks.

70k on it.

Out: loose/leaking drain plug from local shop and incorrect STP 3614 oil filter. Was down 3/4 quart. Oil was unknown.

In: TOTAL 5w40 and a correct WIX WL “made in Poland WL 7503 oil filter. He wanted to give me $5 bucks; I told him bring me some tomatoes and zucchini and call it a day. He agreed.

The '98 GTI VR6. I was wondering if it's a VR6 Driver's Edition but i believe that trim only came in '97.
Ahhh ok! Not sure. It seems to be a special one as it has the cladding with "VR6" on the side so maybe? I'm not super familiar with MK3...that was the '90s, I was in college/grad school and in no-way buying cars.
