Post your latest oil change

'04 Toyota Sienna - Peak 5W-30 and a standard Purolator.

The Peak is doing the job.

'01 Chevrolet Lumina - YBP 5W-30 and a standard Purolator.

The Lumina appreciated getting back on the YBP. I removed an Firestone-labeled e-core and 4.5 qts. of synthetic blend Havoline from a shop change.

My son was here today with his 332,000 mile 91 Ranger and he changed his oil. At WM the only M1 HM oil they had was 10-40 so we put it in. His last OCI went 14,000 miles but he does add a qt. every 3500 miles. That truck has been that way from day one.

I did an early oil change in my Corvette yesterday. I was planning on running it out to 0% on the oil life monitor, as I usually do, but I ended up doing it at 12% because my Fram Sure drain plug has been leaking oil for a few weeks now and it seemed to be getting a lot worse. I tried tightening it down, thinking that was why it was leaking, but it was coming from the inside portion of the unit itself. Luckily I had bought a spare one before they discontinued this item from the stores.

So instead of having closer to 7000 miles on my oil, I had to change it at 5800 instead. It was just over 8 months since my last change. Normally I'd do 7k in 6 months, but having no job (and no 50 mile round trip to work) means a lot less miles are being put on my car this year. Not getting stuck in rush hour traffic anymore sure is awesome though! :)

I refilled it with Pennzoil Platinum 5w30 once again, but this time I went with a Fram Extended Guard filter. Unlike the orange can of death, these top level Frams appear to be very well built filters.

I'm going to drop off my sample at Wearcheck first thing tomorrow morning so I'll have a new UOA to report, possibly even as early as tomorrow afternoon (two or three times when I've dropped off the sample first thing in the morning I've gotten the results online that same day)

Castrol Syntec 5w-30
with a PUREONE,

second run with SYNTEC, if the prices are right, this might be my OC combo. The truck seems to run nice and smooth with this "thinner" 5w-30.

Quaker State 5-20 Q Horsepower full syn
Pure 1 Filter

First time with QS HP, previous fill was M1 0-20. I could swear the QS has more "drag" with acceleration and coasting to stoplights.

1968 Dodge Polara 6.3L 2DHT - 132,600 miles

Shell Rotella 15W-40
Puralator filter

I want a stout oil in there for an engine that has a 4bbl carb and tends to sit between runs. So I'm sure I'm getting some fuel dilution and moisture buildup. When I do run the engine, it gets a nice run to burn out all the junk. Also running Auto-Rx. Last OCI had same Puralator filter and it was HEAVY!
