Post your current MPG

1992 Plymouth Voyager- 19.64 (avg for 2007). Ranges from 17.96 mpg to 22.56 mpg.

2004 Dodge Stratus- 24.12 (avg for 2008 as I have only had the car since the end of January). Ranges from 21.01 to 30.2. The average is slowly rising since the weather is warming up.

1993 Mazda MX6 2.0L 5spd - lifetime avg 33.01, last tank 33.41 (rated 26/34) 246k miles

update on my 2006 mazda6i ATX running 87 octane Phillips 66 exclusively, Lucas UCL, Auto-RX Maint. dose, and MC 5w20:

I have started changing my driving habits and just got 36 MPG on my last tank. 249mi/6.9gal. Average speed for that run was probably 67-69 MPH.

My commute is 105 miles, 60% highway (@75mph), 40% city:

2004 Malibu Maxx: 27.0-27.5 mpg
1999 LeSabre: 26.0-26.5 mpg

This is running regular gas, factory-spec dino oil, and factory-spec tire pressure + 2psi. I don't think gas in my part of Texas has Ethanol yet.

Did well this morning. Two weeks and 349 miles since the last fillup. The little gold "Feed me, Boss" light was on, meaning only about 2 gallons left, so I stopped at a local Discount Zone. It came out to 22.4 mpg, and that's about 75% city.

When I went back in to get my change, I told the cashier, "You know this is probably the cheapest thing we do for our cars. Car payment, insurance, that's all a lot worse than this." He looked stunned and a little grateful too, as though all he heard all day was gripes about the price of fuel, and it was cool to hear something else.

That is really good mileage! Have you calculated mileage doing 75 mph?

Slowing from 75 to 65 is worth about 2 mpg in my Corolla, especially if it's very windy.

Its only one tank, but doing all the gas saving tricks and staying right at 60mph my Corolla just did a 48.49 MPG tank.

So 60 to 75 gets a 4mpg hit..

I'd bet 50 MPG @ 55mph would be easy.

Yes. During a road trip at 75mph, I get a consistent 31 to 31.5mpg (even with fully loaded cargo). At 80mph, I get about 29 to 29.5 mpg. Those are roadtrips with very little city driving.

The new 01 Saturn showed 34.6MPG on the first tank. It needs a P/S pump as the bearing is shot & is hard to turn, and the t-stat stays at 1/4 temp. I'm fixing both of these today, these repairs should help MPG.

27.9 mpg for my latest reading for combined city/hwy driving (about 50/50). Vehicle is a 2007 Passat with the 2.0T turbo.

18 mpg with 91 Octane fuel and city driving only the past 10 days. If anyone doesn't know what car I drive, Gandalf Allan can fill them in -- he's obsessed with the make I drive.

That's pretty good for a Ford pick-up.
