Just looking at the history of a Perkins Diesel Engine that runs a Power generator on a farm 17 hours a day. Here are the last 8 analisis covering a total of 3744 hours. Engine now has 10,185 hours. The first 3 are Group I of an older CH-4 formulation, then 2 with the new Group I CI-4 formulation with Moly and Boron, and finally three with Delo. All are 15w-40, ambient temperature 25 to 38 C, High humidity and high dust.

It's interesting to note that when they started with the moly formulation, only 80% of it showed up on the first analisis, then when they went off moly 20% carried into the Delo. BTW, the earliest formulation was running a 15.9 to 16.25 visc as virgin oil.
