Will this combo work on a boat for awsome protection. My gel coat fades very easy and I rubbed out a section. I am not spending the hundreds on the marine waxes only to have them be slightly better when two coats will work as well. Opinions?

Collinite 845 is Insulator wax. 476 can be extremely difficult to remove unless it is machine applied and removed. Preparing the surface (machine polishing with a rotary) is more important than what is put on it. Having said that I would use either Nufinsh or Collinite 845 but not both. Use two thin coats of whichever you choose.

If it is, that's good stuff.

845 is their Insulator Wax. A combo of the 476 and 845 works very well.

Originally the OP said he wanted to cover NuFinsh with Collinite. NuFinsh is a sealant not a wax. Wax over sealant is not uncommon on auto finishes but not practical for gelcoat.

It makes it smooth as warm butter.
