This is the only place I've seen it so far.

In any event it isn't easy to obtain in NAmerica.

Mail order is very easy

I don't recall seeing any UOA for a FUCHS oil from anyone in NAmerica so it aint that convenient obtaining this brand

!

[Almost all the UOAs I have seen for any FUCHS oil is courtesy of Toyota62 in Australia and a few European contributors]

Any VW FF UOA would most likely be Fuchs. This was my FF UOA. I don't know if they use 5W-30 or 5W-40 for their FF? With only 3,400 miles on the oil. It could of been a heavy 30 weight and sheared down a little because of the fuel dilution.

I've been looking around for a published spec sheet for this new Fuchs oil, but haven't been able to find anything. Does anyone know of a souce?

I have looked similarly but still nothing that I can find on line. I am particularly interested in the VI of this new XTL formulation.

Fuchs oil, live in Germany and its difficult to source here. Dont know if I will agree that its better than motul. Just because its German does not mean that it [censored] out golden nuggets.

As noted a few posts previously, they don't currently source the XTL version of the oil. I emailed them via the website to ask if they could source it, or point me towards a source for this newer oil. I'll report back on what they tell me. Fingers crossed!

Still no PDS for the new formulation? Is the actual XTL oil even available yet in Germany?

Fuchs is not trying to catch up with anyone. I wonder how long will it take for Mobil1, Castrol, Valvoline, SOPUS... to come up with a reduced zinc oil.

Fuchs rhymes with hooks and doesn't rhyme with trucks.

That youtube video played in English for me. Nothing but a silly marketing video comparing Fuchs XTL oil to a conventional mineral oil. No kidding. Why not compare it to the other synths on the market?

FUCHS has had a no zinc formula for so many years.

Of course.

I just want to see a PDS for this new FUCHS. It's got to be out there...somewhere.

I owe Bob an apology - the Fuchs offered at http://www.germanfilters.com/synthetic-oil-c-3967.html apparently does have the XTL technology.

I read the press release from Fuchs more closely, and at the very end is this nugget:
Quote:

Differing somewhat in specifications but all approved by leading engine manufacturers, the Premium engine oils TITAN GT1 SAE 0W-20, TITAN GT1 PRO FLEX SAE 5W-30, GT1 PRO C-3 SAE 5W-30 and TITAN GT1 SAE 5W-40 are all formulated with the new XTL™ technology.

So, it appears that the oil at the link does indeed have the XTL pack after all. Once I can absolutely confirm this, I'll be buying this oil for my in-between oil change on the 335d.

I am not sure what this is as the link doesnt work.

So I think this PDS states a VI of 172 for the 0W20 (which as I recall is up from their previous 0W20 formulation but not in the 200 range as we see with Toyota and Honda).
