In my past experiences with M1 it will likely use a quart in 8k miles. You might want to buy an extra quart to add as it approches 3-5k. At least that was my experience when running M1 on Honda engines. Or you could go with a better oil like PP or Amsoil OE.

that 3.6DI in the 2012 impala is sweet. you cant go wrong with mobil 1 or pp. my question is will the A/C Delco oil filter last the 8-10k oil change intervals???
