I wonder how some of the Mass bashers in this thread would feel then.
You guys know who you are. Now you also know how you sound.
The difference being: I have lived in the area my entire life, and have worked in Massachusetts for almost 20 years! The state is a SEWER.
Amen Jarlaxle. We don't always agree but on this we sure do.
While I have never lived in MA I have always lived within 10-15 miles of the border and spend a lot of time in the state for varied reasons. I do have a relative who lives there however and I have worked in MA.
I wouldn't call the negative comments in this thread about MA your typical bashing. Rather they are just people describing how they feel about the place based on actual experience there. You also have to remember that the OP asked us specifically about the area and those of us who know it are just answering honestly. It isn't like we are just piling on for no reason. We were asked. I would also point out that for the most part the MA residents are chiming in with the negative comments like the rest of us. IF those who live there are echoing what others are saying to me it makes those other folks comments accurate and true.
As Jarlaxle said the state is really screwed up. I won't call it a sewer but it sure does stink.
Only 3 states I wouldn't even consider living in, even if I was paid to do so, in this country and MA is one of them. It really is a horrible place IMO. If that makes me a basher well then I guess I am a basher. Seen to much of that state in my life and my own state( NH )is now being ruined by transplants from there.
I bought a car from Pepperell, Mass. Sounds like not far from you..
And would you agree that MA looks more attractive to outsiders (*those that do not actually live in MA) than to those that do?
I know the "Commonwealth" is inefficient (the Charlie card was cool... kind of.. and public transportation in and around Boston is amazing,) but I agree with some that have said: There is a lot of stuff IN Mass (Boston.)
It has also been told to me that nobody in Mass eats at Red Lobster, or Boston Market .. rather, "Legal's seafoods" (??) .. several other chains have srarted in Mass, too. Cosi and Bertucci's. Perhaps you have heard of Cosi. Bertucci is overpriced-ness. There are other chains birthed in MA, too...
