Hi, I purchased the above engine. It's a 12.5hp Diesel engine. Made in Italy. I'm having a hard time finding an oil filter. If I match a similar fram filter, would this be acceptable?

I had one on an air compressor, wasn't easy to find parts. I did the same as you mentioned, never had any problems using a cross referenced Wix oil filter. I also did the same for the fuel filter.
