Since the connection points downward on an impact gun, I have found the hose not typically to be a problem. I don't have a whip on my impact. I do have one on my air ratchet as the overall length added by the quick connect actually can be a pain when you're trying to fit the air ratchet into tight quarters. I guess it will depend on your use, but it never really came up as an issue for my on the impact.

I guess it will depend on your use, but it never really came up as an issue for my on the impact.
I think hose whips are a great idea for many air tools such as impact wrenches, hammers, ratchets. The whips are cheap at HF and usually have a swivel. Your coupler will not see the vibration from the tool with a whip.
