The ceramic insulator on those plugs also looks quite dark for a fuel injected vehicle.
i guess !The way those washers are compressed doesn’t look right to me, in particular the second one from the top.
Did you have to gap them before putting them in? You may have damaged the center electrode.

From RA?? Is nothing sacred????For my Honda Fit 120k maintenance Got a set of counterfeit ngk’s from Rock Auto last year. Returned them and went to the dealer. 3x as much but no headaches. 100k + so it’s no big deal. Adjusted the valves, new plugs, good until 250k.
How do you know they were fakes? I thought RA was legit. For my Honda Fit 120k maintenance Got a set of counterfeit ngk’s from Rock Auto last year. Returned them and went to the dealer. 3x as much but no headaches. 100k + so it’s no big deal. Adjusted the valves, new plugs, good until 250k.
Because the stamped printing was a little off. I did some research and determined that they were fake. I like RA and continue to use them. Plugs and coolant I now only by from the dealer. Peace of mind. How do you know they were fakes? I thought RA was legit.
NoThey don’t look like they were torqued correctly.
@The Critic does this engine need to have the plugs indexed a certain way too?

Fake Autolites???Fake plugs? Maybe get a set of NGK from a reputable parts shop, and see how they do.
I kinda had that initial reaction too, but the Chinese will fake anything if they think they can make a penny. If you're already cranking out fake plugs might as well start stamping some as Autolite.Fake Autolites???
Never had good luck with Autolite plugs. Almost as bad or worse than Champion.

That said, I haven't heard confirmation of fake Autolites but nothing would surprise me. Especially with retail pricing on Iridiums, the margins are there if you can build something for 30 cents that looks like Iridium and sells for, say, $10
You don't run autolite plugs in a Honda. Where did you buy them from?
I dunno, they fake Motorcraft double platinums like mad.I mostly only use Autolite's double platinum's. Not enough money on faking those.

They are the same thing most of the time except when ford has NGK relabel their plugs for ford, There is no motorcraft factory as ford just owns the name and pay a company to label the parts as motorcraft. ford owned Autolite in the 60's but had to sell them through an anti-trust law suit they lost.At one point Motorcraft and Autolite plugs were almost identical and made in the same factory in Ohio.
