Fuel filter quality differences?

is there any significant difference in fuel filter quality? I just replaced my bosch fuel filter with a Mann filter. Thge Bosch had a much stronger looking housing. Both are well known brand names. Just a thought.

The difference seems to be the housing quality.
No reports of failed fuel filters since I've been around. The housing have rusted on some brands in short time frame.
Others seem to go on forever.

I've had 120K on one and then changed it due to guilt, no other reason.
