I’m almost jealous that those of us with canister filters have to wait until after the oil change, or sacrifice an entire filter, to see the guts of the filters we use.

Then I remember that for some folks’ maintenance habits, “out of sight, out of mind” is probably safer for their mental health

That is the advantage i like of cartridge you can see it before putting it in. It would be awkward to be cutting a new one open inside the store to see what it looks like lol "I'm just checking these pleats"
