The local AAP has Formula Shell 20W-50 for $3 a quart.

Thought this mught be OK for my air cooled bikes and 3K OCIs.

Don't know of anyone that is using this oil and cannot find any information (here) for this oil.

Anyone?

I don't know about that weight, but Target has Formula Shell for cheaper.

A few weeks ago I posted about Exxon 20/50 wt Sg oil I found because I was thinking the same thing. Didn't get any useful reply's,and a search of uoa's only came back with lighter wt oils. Harley recommends SG api rated oil, even tho their brand of oil doesn't carry a API symbol.so if Shell's oil is rated Sg go for it.,,

That weight goes on closeout quite a bit. I wouldn't buy cases and cases at $3/qt.

Have you hit your cylinder head fins with an IR gun? I only get to about 205'F, 10w30 territory, but I run 15w40 for grins anyway.

My oil temps are running around 240 in the summer months so it's the 20W-50 that I'm using.

10W-40 or 15W-40 in my water cooled bikes.

Yowza. Well at least you won't have any moisture condensation issues.

Just got some QS 20w50 and HD30 for $1/qt at walmart.
