Inflation adjusted would be fine. I mean I used to pay in the $20-$30 range to go see major national bands at the old Frank Erwin Center in Austin when I was going to undergrad at UT-Austin. The shows that were at the smaller venues like Liberty Lunch or the Backyard were in the single digits or teens.
Every time I look at tickets now to something I'm interested in, seems like they are in the $150-$250 range. There's been a lot of inflation since say 1992 when I moved to this area, but not 5 or 6x worth.
Sports tickets are similar. I still have my ticket from the first Texas-Oklahoma game in Dallas I attended in 1992, in a photo frame with some pictures with some old friends. Cost $25. Now the tickets are $250. I still have my season tickets for the games in Austin, and I've had them since 1996 ($525 for 6 games) but I haven't bought OU tickets since 2013.
