Car shakes when braking -- not front rotors

It was actually very interesting getting to see the inside of the brake drums. I know very little about them and it was the first time I've ever seen inside of one.

The shoes were clearly not making much contact with the inside of the drums -- only about 10% of the shoes were shiny from contact and the rest were very corroded/dust covered. The areas where contact was made were also very worn down.

The inside of the drums were the same way, with points of contact and then a lot of rust.
