C&P Fram Ultra XG16 w/steel screen

Nothing to see here.

I use this filter as an ATF filter on a remote mount. It been is place for 28 mths. ATF is Amsoil ATL w/48+k miles. Totota A750e 5 speed automatic tranny w/225k miles. No issues.

Installed another XG16.

Yeah, Trans filters can stay fairly clean. Sometimes you can see some metal flakes if they've been on long enough. 48k is nothing for that filter or trans. Great filter though for piece of mind. Nice to see a change from the usual oil filters. Thanks for sharing.

Wait a min. Do you have a primary filter & this one is just like a bypass filter?

The primary in the pan is a plastic screen, not a filter. I dropped the pan. There are 4 magnets on the pan floor. There wasn't much of anything on them either.

It seems screens are the norm these days to maximize intervals. Also putting more magnets in the pan. I remember changing 90's & earlier with just 1 magnet. Seems this bypass isn't really needed but a nice addition. Thanks again.

It plumbed in series with the radiator heat exchanger.
