The samples below 20K miles do not tell much nor help with trending.
And in some cases you cannot get the sample tube into the dipstick tube far enough.
I use mine mainly for my ATF.

Mine has worked flawlessly on four different cars: an Audi V8, a Nissan VQ30, a Nissan VQ35, and a Nissan VQ35HR.

how does the dip stick go down the tube? maybe you need a smaller tube?
The dipstick is flat, so I assume there is a guide down there to only allow something thin and flat past. I can easily pull oil from the drain plug for a sample (after cleaning it).
