Good call! For your needs it should work well!

I'm sure it won't be super easy being packed up under there, but hopefully it won't be too bad to service. I know on the MTD "CVTs". They don't typically just stop working, you just annoyingly loose your range of speeds to the point you just have one slowish speed left because of lack of variator motion.

If the variator needs to be replaced, the deck is coming off and the whole rear wheel assembly is coming out. From what I remember glancing at it in the store, it looked like one unit. I'll have more time to play with it this weekend once I get it.

I don't know this guy from Adam, I'm 3000 miles away, no dog in the fight, and don't need it. But I know Honda generators and OPE. I have 2 Honda mowers from 1990 that might outlive me.

This thing looks cherry. I have a relative in OK with a similar model and they are bulletproof if well maintained.

Just sayin". http://www.ebay.com/itm/191147211500?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1431.l2649

Sorry - tried to make it a clicky - on this forum only it never seems to work for me. Can someone do it?
