I purchased an Amsoil EA filter and I've never seen a filter where the holes are not completely covered by the ADBV.

Is this right??

That's my plan. Glad I caught this before installing on my Ram. Hemi lifter issues are bad enough.

It will be alright to use it as long as your filter mounts with the hole facing up. But I would still let Amsoil know about it.

Thanks for the input guys. Been a lurker here for a long time and have learned an incredible amount about oil and filters.

I called and was told they had to send the pics to their filter department. Wait and see I guess

Yeah, but I wouldn't use a Royal Purole filter on my car.

Mobile 1 either

Why not? Price or quality?

Strange ... will have to see what Amsoil comes back with for an answer.

Clearly it is all there in the RP filter photo, and the other filter from 2012 is a completely different design, n/a. It's all there in the OP filter too, just look with a flashlight in the holes.
