Not so fast. Bosch Premium now claims to be 99% efficient not 99.9%.

The Germans must have heard about the tears and recalculated the efficiency.

Wilhelm may have been right all along that the tears don't matter.

Haven't seen any reported media tears in the Bosch filters.

Good catch ... makes sense due to being the cousin of Tearolator.
 
Interesting... I just took a PureONE off of the Kia Sephia I maintain. I'll try to remember to cut it open when I get a chance and see if it has any of these dreaded torn pleats.

I wonder how many of the Purolators were useing Nexgen oil?

I notice at Autozone and AAP they dont even sell Nexgen Oil anymore...
