How do you define often? Every 3k? 2k? Do you still believe that changing oil every 3k will double your engine life compared to the guy who does his every 6k?

As for as your follow up Q…..really depends on the conditions said engine is operated. Idle time, towing, highway vs city stop and go.

You can believe what you want but 3k oil changes definitely won't double your engine life compared to 6k oil changes on pretty much any engine built in modern times.
