I just changed my oil for the first time on my 2007 Silverado Classic with a 4.8L engine. Afterward I cut it open. I was impressed with the quality of this new filter. The ADBV is nitrile rubber. It has a dome end bypass valve (I'm not fond of this feature) But I guess most filters are built this way. Anyway, the pleats were evenly spaced and it had metal end caps. The tension spring is nothing like I've seen before (very strudy). the bypass valve had a nitrile seal. Should not be any leakage period.
Very well made filter for $4.50 at the dealer.
