2007 BMW R1200GSA Castrol GTX 20w-50

This is the most recent UOA on my 100,000 mile GS. No surprises but the comment from Blackstone that there was no water in the oil was mildly amusing.

Have you been using the same for all of those UOA’s? I noticed the one on 8/5/2016 @ 60K shows a viscosity of 11.05, which is in the range of a 30 grade oil.

About their assertion that it's in the 5w-40 range. It's more in the 15w-40 range. There are plenty of 5w-40's that start under 14.

I used Mobil1 15w-50 for the first couple of years so that is probably the oil in the first UOI at 23,500 miles but it's been Castrol GTX ever since.
