Check for leaks before you start ripping into it.
Is this a pressurized system, I can't remember.


My bad for assuming the basics were already checked! Can't do diagnostics on the Internet...
 
Another update after a month... After filling up the reserve it has stayed at the same level (full). The vehicle has not been driven much but I would think that it would show some loss if it was a blown head gasket. My son-in-law said that all the fluids were topped up prior to his trip to Ontario. Maybe everything except the coolant! I will keep my fingers crossed.
