    Cleaning off Anti Seize

Thanks, All, for the insight and suggestions. The purple stuff is OK for slide pins, etc., according top the labels and data sheets I did check out the TDSs and MDSs to compare the product's uses and compositions. I think I'll be OK cleaning as much of the gray anti seize off as I can with...

Damage by Bleeding? / Bleed the ABS System?

The FSM for my 2008 Jeep Wrangler says to replace the brake fluid once by bleeding, then cycle the ABS with the starSCAN, then do a second full bleed. So it appears Chrysler thinks its important. Makes me wonder.

    Benefits of Conventional over Synthetic

Synthesis to a chemist means creating a chemical bond. In practice it means "growing" a molecule like a carbon chain by adding links to the chain. If you start with a mixture like crude oil and clean it up (refine it) you end up with what people refer to as dino or mineral oil. If you start...

11 years old coolant, still good?

Shake it up, pour some out. If its cloudy, send it to the recycler! (just my opinion) It might not be embittered so be careful not to let dogs, etc. drink it (if any gets spilled).
