Ended getting non ecoboost Flex.

Looking to replace our 06 Ford Freestyle with 220,000 miles with a Ford Flex with 3.5 Ecoboost motor. After doing some looking around, I'm having having second thoughts about it.

If you to be an auto mechanic, then you should buy a VW. I have good friend that bought a brand new 2011 Audi A4, at 10k started burning a quart oil every 1k. By 18k it was using a quart every 600 miles. The Audi dealer replaced the engine at 20k.

I have 2 Honda HRX lawn mowers, the 16 year old OHV one run so much nicers than the OHC one(only 3 years old). I haven't started the OHV one in 3 years til yestesday and it if fired up on the 1st pull. Too bad the transmission is gone on the OHV one. I think Honda have cheapen their lawn mower...

122,000 miles on my 06 Ford Freestyle, still look pretty good when I took them out.

Replace the thermostat today, the rubber part on old thermostat was all distorted causing coolant to go thru. Now car warms up alot quicker and is mpg has improve by 2mpg. Alo replaced the strut bar links on the Freestyle.

I do have scangauge. The temp never rises over 200F degrees. Also no faults code. Like I said before if the temp falls down to 10f degrees and blow it takes about 7 miles of driving before it gets start getting hot. It used to take about 2 miles before it got hot. At least it's not overheating...

It was working find today, but on Sunday when it got down 13F it took a little longer to warm up.

Just wondering how long do thermostat last since my Ford Frestyle seems to take a longer to warm up. BTW the cas has 144K on it.

I just love mine on the Freestyle and the Malibu.
