Post your latest oil change

2020 Honda Accord (1.5 liter/CVT)

2,400 miles on car
1,400 miles on oil

Out: Mobil Super Syn 5W20
In: Mobil Super Syn 5W20

- Factory oil filter is still on engine

I still use a secondary jack with ramps. Either jackstand or hydraulic.
One support on each side is not enough.

Also, stop immediately when your tires reach the end of the ramps. If you don't and the ramp ends up behind the front tire trapped underneath, it makes it extremely difficult to backup.... to get back on-top of it.

I learned that in Hamtramck. Congrats on your new Hyundai.

I always like to get the factory oil out after the break-in period. The plan is to do 6000km/6m intervals, which is what Hyundai specs for severe service. I'll stick to the OEM filters and synthetic 5w30.

Also, I finally got a set of ramps. Why didn't I get these earlier?!

I know you have some blocks/chocks behind those back wheels.
Like the sporty looking Tuscon. Nice color.

2017 Ford Explorer 3.5 NA at 35,800 miles. Used 6qts of Mobil 1 5w-20 and the new Fram Titanium filter. My usual oil life monitor oci has been 10,000 ish miles.

I did both cars today.

Ramps + Rear Tire Chocks + Two Jack Stands under each side of front frame

2018 Subaru Outback 2.5L Limited - 99,427 miles - 7000 mile oil change interval (OCI)

Out: Rotella Gas Truck 5w30 oil, Fram Ultra Synthetic XG7317 oil filter

In: Valvoline Synthetic Maxlife 5w20, Fram Ultra Synthetic XG7317 oil filter

Notes: Engine ran a bit off using 5w30 and went back to running buttery smooth with Valvoline synthetic 5w20. Fram Ultra filter was used for a total of 13,000 miles (two OCI) before changing, I thought about running it one more OCI but oil drained was very dark so I didn't want to push it.

No worries, I'm using chocks. I just took the picture right after I drove the car on the ramps.

Completed two this weekend.

Smart required a breaker bar and some heavy pressure to get the drain bolt loose (thought I was going to lift the thing off the ground). I also had to dig out my strap filter wrench which crushed it slightly before finally loosening. I expected a dealer to not use incredible hulk torque specs, now I know better.
Honda was last done at a quick lube place and both came off with like normal with little effort. Go figure. Included a few pictures.

Now there's someone who doesn't live in fear of timing chain / tensioner issues on the Ford Mod. Definitely got your use out of that $2.60 a qt oil.

Yeah honestly we are thinking of retiring this Crown Vic here soon, as the rust is very bad underneath the car. Otherwise the engine is still running as good as it came from the police auction. We even used the Motorcraft Fl-820S oil filter for most of the car's oil changes. Funny considering how people hate that oil filter on these forums.

The FL-820S is actually thought quite highly of on here, in my opinion. It's the rest of the Motorcraft line that has shown to be susceptible to issues.
