I would love to replace the knock sensor that is under the intake while the intake is out, but the dealer does not have OEM part anymore.
I am on the fence if I should just leave the OEM one in place and leave it alone since it was working before my coolant leaking problem or replace with an after market. I estimate It has been submerged in engine coolant for about 3 weeks, but don't know for sure.
Rock Auto has NTK, AutoZone has Duralast, Advanced has BWD. Just not sure about aftermarket quality, if it is as good as OEM.

NTK easily. I wonder what's already on there? Bosch? Which isn't bad either.

Duralast only if cheaper than NTK and you can find out who makes it for AZ.
BWD = "broke when delivered" lol

I used a Bosch on my '06 5.4L. According to Rock Auto, it was the actual OE product. It's been very uneventful since replacing both of my sensors. No issues whatsoever to report.

NTK given those choices......OE/Bosch would be preferred.

The sensors are sealed & the harness whip is jacketed......You stand to damage new ones if over-torqued, Definitely not a job for a Harbor Freight torque wrench!
If you weren't getting circuit/sensor performance codes, It may be wise to leave them be!
