As a Vettel fan, I'd rather that no one take points away from him right now. Of course, it would be better than giving them to Lewis. Honestly, if Vettel loses to Leclerc this season, I don't think he'll hang out in the sport much longer. Martin Brundle expected him to not be around for the long haul when he signed with Ferrari at the outset.

I hope Kubica has a better race than his qualifying. He was complaining his chassis for the first four races wasn't the same as Russell's. Williams even agreed, though they later said it might have been a sensor error. They had them switch cars. Kubica is still down 1.2 seconds from Russell on qualifying and he even had an extra lap.

I do too, but I also remember they didn't employ him to be a fast driver. They employed him on the basis of the excellent technical feedback and assistance with development of the vehicle.

Still, it'd be nice to see him do alright once in a while.

So, the dominant Mercedes empire are back, Ferrari are still playing catch-up. And they are not fighting with the Mercs any more, they are battling the Red Bulls. Bottas supposedly lost the start with a strange clutch engagement issue. Ferrari seem to have lost their copy of F1 Strategy for Dummies.

Yes, and I keep overlooking that. That's what they really need most of all. It doesn't matter who they have driving, zero points is zero points, so the feedback does matter.

weasley: Yes. Delaying switches, why? Why not pit Seb when he was complaining about his tires? At least that would have eliminated any concern about team orders and wouldn't have mattered a bit.
