From member marco620. Looks good is all I will say.

Bag it was in I couldn't make out some of the writing. Believe the filter had 21k~ on it in his Honda Civic. Damage to pleats is from me as it had few dents on it from probably being removed from the vehicle.

Enjoy the photos

Thanks for the C&P.

You are very welcome sir and WellOiled you are welcome also.

I ran that filter 22,300 miles. Was installed on December 2018. Oil was redline 0w20 and archoil. Thank you for cutting open for me. Nice job.

I just to wish they could figure out how to close those really wide pleat gaps on the seam side. It just bugs the blank out of me

Yeah I noticed that too... However sure beats the free flowing holy media some others tend to have

I have seen some Wix filters with this same circumstance. I have a XP Wix in my car now. I should get it cut open when it is done to compare.

A few wide pleat spacings isn't anything to worry about on synthetic wire backed media. Thanks Stude for the C&P.

Just because it bugs the blank out of you doesn't mean it didn't do it's intended job. In all reality, Marco ran it more than 10% over its rated mileage and it still looks like it could easily go another 10k without an issue, pleat spacing be blanked!

I'm currently on my second MM oci on an Accord running one of these. It'll be two years total and in the 10-12k mile oci range when pulled. I don't like using an FU for 5-6k miles. If I'm using one, I want to get my money's worth and at least approach the filter's potential.

22k miles in 5 months, that Civic never stopped. That's ROI on this filter. Typical results.

I'm glad they changed the date code print type, it can be easily read. I have a couple of the older laser etched or whatever that require a bright light, magnifying glass and a where's waldo search to find it. This one made May 11 2018. Can fairly stout ime, surprised it dented on removal. Perhaps on a little tight.

Thanks for c&p.

Will run another 7317 maybe a bit longer. Will also do a uoa of my Redline 0w20 & M1 0w30 blend this oci. Think I will shoot for 24-25k if possible. I was really pleased how clean it looked this time. Kudos to Adam for C&P. Too bad his Penguins are down 0-3 in hockey lol. Go easy on him this week guys

Think Penguins are toast anyways. Islanders vs Flames in Stanley Cup
