I wondered if it was bad to leave the oil in my tractor over multiple years when it only gets used 20-30 hours/ year. Based on this analysis it would appear that the Kubota branded 15w-40 is fine to leave for 3 or 4 years between changes.

oh big shock....and yet we see people changing their oil after 10 hours use because god forbid its over 1 year.....

1% fuel dilution. How much is allowable before it becomes a negative? I always wondered about that with my now traded DI gas Hyundai. It definitely got diluted with many really feeling seeing it in oil . I always wondered why it doesn't burn off. Once upon a time my out Continental aircraft engine manual stated something interesting. That if you got stuck in some frozen hellhole you could dump a pint of gas into the oil to thin it. That would allow it with that old type 30 weight oil (🤨hopefully) not to hurt itself on startup. I never wanted to even think about going that route, always preheated myself.
