Um, Adam, the 3600 is actually .86" longer than the 8316

I think the 8316 is the same size as the 3614 just a different bypass pressure setting. I take it you went home?

TG 3600 FTW!

Uh, I guess as I'm lost. I just like 3600 and or 8316 as they are bigger than 3614 filter

I will be going with the 3600 on my next oil change witch should be soon! Thank you for confirmation!

Talking about larger capacity filters
53'Stude 🤔 does anybody make a larger version of the
MC 820 ?
Thanks

Ok so the 3600 did not fit.. the threading is different. The filter my rav4 calls for is 4967.

I have a 1998 I presume they changed something since it worked on your 96/97 well that sucks.

Ummm, 'if' the 4967/(4386) are the spec filters, then space permitting the 3600 should screw on properly. All list SAE threads, 3/4-16 Th'd. So not sure what could have changed but unlikely it has anything to do with the filter thread pitch.

As noted in prior post, personally think the ~3//4" longer 4386 is all one needs, but it still has SAE threading.

I will try the xg3600 again after the engine cools down but I swear it would not thread on so strange right now it has some [censored] generic shop filter I had so after it cools down I will pull that off and hope I am wrong and try the 3600 again.

The 3614, 3600, and 8316 use the same thread as the 4386 and 4967, but the cans are fatter than the 4386 and 4967 and might not fit where the latter two are called for

Success! The 3600 does work! I did not notice there is some easily bendable shield kinda preventing the width thus thinking it was not threading on because of the threads. All is well the 3600 works!

Heck with the 4967 being rated for 20k on your engine, you can probably run that same 3600 until the day the car needs to go to the crusher... That's HUGE size upgrade!

It's not mounted at the bottom, is it? Because I'd be afraid of a longer filter bottoming out
