Was this at a Jiffy Lube or other quick lube? Local place near me charges like $29-30~ for oil change and they are pretty thorough

Ultra Platinum is Pennzoil's EP oil and matches the EP filter you bought.

Some oil change shops are $29-$30 for bulk oil brand -- that may exist in the same large drum that displays Pennzoil or Valvoline on the front of it.

WHY? It's a well known fact(according to the so called experts here at BITOG) that 0-20 oils are a leading cause of increased engine wear.

A small indy shop that advertises $20 oil changes with Pennzoil and free tire rotations. $45 for PP and he didn't try to upsell anything. The previous oci was at a tire place that uses Valvoline but they like to uspell a lot and is very busy.

First own oil change as I have access to a garage now, all previous changes had been done at a Honda dealer in TX.
Took advantage of the Advance Auto oil and filter February special.
