Since the sun was shining and the wind was not blowing it seemed like a good day to do an oil change.
Out: Valvoline AFS Dexos 1 G2 5W30 and off: STP S2
5862 Miles on oil and filter. Duration: 17 weeks
In: Valvoline AFS HM Dexos 1 G2 5W30 and on: WIX 51372
Miles on the vehicle: 202,276
When I put this filter on, I thought I would have to change it early due to the ADBV leaking. However, this filter maintained good performance through the whole OCI/FCI. The truck stayed in airport parking for 10 days over Thanksgiving and 6 days over Christmas. No startup rattle in both cases. The nitrile ADBV is getting stiff but still seals. Plenty of oil gushed out on removal making a mess to cleanup.
