In: Mobil 1 EP HM 5W-30, OE Honda oil filter. This will be my first time using a 30-wt in this vehicle.

Out: LiquiMoly 5W-40 w/Ceratech, Royal Purple oil filter

In: Schaeffer's Oil 9000 Full Syn 5W-50, Fram UG oil filter

Car is getting a cam and some other mods which will increase hp by 100hp to the wheels. Trying Schaeffer's for the first time. Getting ready for some track days (road course)

LOL no sir, my dailies are a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a Chrysler 300. I have a 10 mile commute to work so no LA gridlock traffic for me.

Repeated the same when I got back from the west coast. Put 15k km on the truck this summer. The 15w40 didnt really help my rear main seal leak. Looks like I'll just pull the trans over the winter and change it.

Maxlife worked very well and probably could have gone another few k miles. Interestingly, the engine appeared to run quieter toward the end of the OCI than at the beginning. Will definitely use Maxlife again, after my stash of Pennzoil 0W20 is gone (unless PP is on sale).

I believe the 2004 Rav4 models came with a 4 cylinder engine only. The later generation was the one to get the awesome V6 engine that was ripping the AWD systems apart.
