2005 Lexus LS430, 4.3L 3UZ-FE V8, 54,500 miles
Toyota recommends OCIs at 5K, the OLM is an idiot light programmed to blink 500 miles and on solid at 5K.

Out: Kendall Liquid Titanium blend, 5W-30, Toyota OEM filter
In: ServicePro 5W-30 D1G2(made by Warren), FU XG3614

2006 Civic, 146,000 miles

Out: M1 0w20 AFE (2200 miles), Fram Ultra (8400 miles)
In: Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w20 and a fresh Fram Ultra (will continue the practice of changing it every other time)

I changed the oil way earlier than usual because on the previous oil change it showed high fuel dilution so this was just a quick flush interval (and I ran a lot of fuel system cleaner through it) I was also anxious to get the PUP 5w20 in there. I did not take a sample for a UOA, I'm down to my last two sample kits for Wearcheck and I am trying to save money so I will use those last two kits on my Corvette and then I won't need to buy a new 12 pack of kits for another year.

I actually enjoyed the freedom of not taking a sample on this oil change, as I didn't bother to go for a long drive to heat up the oil, I just changed the oil cold and loved not having to deal with hot oil.

About 79k on this engine, still hums like an over fed big fat cat. Buttery Smoooth 5.0L.

2010 Hyundai 2.4L with 150k on the clock. 5k OCIs

Out: PP 5w-20 & OEM filter
In: PP 5w-30 & Fram XG9688 filter.

Have always used OEM filters (still have about a dozen left), but bought a 10-pack of the XG9688 so am trying one now for the first time.

FYI: Know about the filter TSBs & watch out for fake OEM filters.......

2015 Ford Focus ST 34k miles, 2k miles since last oil change

Out: Chevron Supreme conventional 5w30 & Motorcraft filter (freebie from dealer)
In: Castrol Magnatec synthetic 5w30 & Motorcraft filter.

I get three free oil changes with conventional 5w30 a year from the dealer, but I'm not keen on running conventional oil for long in a DI turbo engine. So I've been alternating conventional with 2k mile OCIs and changing it myself with synthetic with 5k-6k OCIs.

Seems to be working well: No oil consumption, improving gas mileage, running stronger now than ever.

Chevron supreme is good oil you could run that to 5,000 intervals. My neighbor runs his Saab turbo on Formula Shell 5w30 for a minimum 6 months or 5,000 miles
