T7, I always go to the dentist twice a year for a cleaning, February and August. I have been doing this religiously since my induction into the military (1984). Before that I only went when needed.
Last year (Sept.) I had a sore throat and this strange taste in my mouth. My gf came out and told me my breath stunk! I was floored! I started brushing my teeth more, rinsing more, to no avail. After a visit to my dentist, he said everything was okay with my teeth, but my throat looked very red. He suggested that I make an appt. with an ear, nose, and throat Dr. I made the appt. and she discovered some chunky white "pebbles" in my tonsil area called TONSIL STONES. I had TONSILLITIS. After (9) days on antibiotics, I had to have my tonsils removed, which is usually done when you're a child. I tell you what, I'm glad that I was diagnosed and that was fixed!
